It's not as good as 28 Days Later but it's still a very crazy movie. It has it's thrilling moments and is disgusting enough for horror fans to enjoy.
'28 Days Later' was one of the greatest horror movies ever made, and was smart, brutal, charming, touching and moving.
This movie is boring, cynical and ultimately bland, and is not interested in very much other than bloody gore.
Doesn't measure up to the last film... I mean, really, kids are our future turn out to be our demise in this film
A horrible sequel. Apart from a terrific opening sequence, no one in this film acts rationally at all, and the wasted potential is all the more crushing. It's not at all like the first film. It's simply dumb and gory.
An American led NATO force is sent in to supervise the re-population of Britain when a new outbreak occurs and the military loses control of the situation. I must admit the sequel to the OK but not amazing 28 Days Later seemed a little unnecessary to me. But I must admit, I enjoyed it. It has none of the social allegory of the Romero zombie films and really is just a long chase sequence, but it is very efficiently handled. I liked the way that none of the characters were sacred cows who you KNEW would make it to the end of the film, and the inter-family homicide obviously echoes the influence of the grandaddy of these flicks, Night Of The Living Dead. The action is very effective, especially the opening scene, which is frighteningly tense and as visceral as a punch in the gut. It is rather plotless and as such will never be considered a classic, but it's an exciting thrill ride that reminded me of a Children Of Men copy with added blood and guts. Better than the first one I think.
I really enjoyed this one... And it's better than the original, plot is a bit better and the storyline flowed well.
Way better than the first one. More blood and guts which was pretty awesome. I liked how they changed the story only a little bit and not rooted it up like most sequels do. Could there be a 28 months later? Would be a tough ask!
Left a certain chasm that Cillian Murphy and Naomie Harris had filled but it definitely exceeded expectations.
this one now this was fucking cool way better then the orignal in so many ways its crazy jeremy renner plays a bad ass hero and the helicoper scene...woha...i got a woody after it! and like the first...great score.....
Looking for a good Zombie movie to watch during Halloween? Its a great movie to watch for Halloween with a few scares.
Virus wiping out most of britain while making them turn into man eating zombies. You fill in the rest...not very good Zombie action
This is as good as the first. It suprised me how violent it was.I like virus outbreak films for some reason.
ok I loved 28 days later but this movie did not live up to its quality. i found myself angry more than i was entertained. for all who have watched the first movie thsi is a must see but slightly dissapointed
Once in a bluemoon a film comes along that happens to be better than the original, and I have to say that 28 Weeks Later is one of those movies. Juan new what he was doing when he made this film. The plot was all original. It had great effects and some good blood; and somehow managed to bring the tension. 28 Weeks Later has all of the aspects of a great horror film and manages to mix them well. Like any true horror film it has its share of flaws. Acting, there where a few good actors in this film but nothing note worthy. But let me tell you the plot is so well played out that you hardly notice. This movie had gore by the tons, a terrific plot, action, suspense, nail bitting tension, and it had zombies. What more can you ask for right? I would say to CHECK THIS ONE OUT I can guarantee that it is worth your time.
SO DUMB! are you supposed to sleep in the middle of a horror movie?! NO?! Thank you! That's what I was trying to say with my 1*!
the best horror movie ever and i love it best one in the world i reccomend everyone watches it better than barney!!
Really awesome...but when you think about it, soooo many flaws, could've been so much better than it already is!
Even better than the first, with a possibly unbelievable helicopter scene thrown in. Good bloody fun.
Better than the first one, but if they don't have anything up their sleeve other than the virus spreading to another continent, they may as well just end the franchise here. Very intense, violent, but watchable, with good post-apocalyptic feel.
i coul've sworn i've seen this movie before, just not the same title. classic 'see one see them all', i guess...
Definitely better then the first Great story, Great shooting and a great score. the last shot of the film keeps me waiting for another 28 something...
not as gritty as the first. and truthfully those kids made me wanna amsck them. lol. and the father made me wanna smack him (SPOILER: why did he kiss his wife???). a very brutal movie though
I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS BETTER THEN THE FIRST ONE....I THOUGHT THAT THE CHARACTER PLAYED BY ROBERT CARLYLE WAS SUCH AND ASSHOLE LEAVIN HIS WIFE THEIR TO BE EATEN BY THE ZOMBIE'S WHAT A BASTARD BUT THE SON OF A BITCH GOT HIS
This film is just as gory as the first one but not quite as scary as the original. Very good ending though.
I can't figure out if it's a film about AIDS, abusive fathers, war (anti- or pro-), or just an excuse to show people vomiting blood--who do I look like, Joe Movie Critic? No, I'll tell you who I look like: Donny Osmond.

the movie goes along it gets kind of predictable. It's worth watching only cause of all the zombies and stuff, it's bloody and violent, and the music has a good score.
i loved this movie but the part where andy got bitten made me cry i was so sad?!?!?! everytime i watch it i cry at that part?!?!?! I LOVE ANDY AKA MACKINTOSH MUGGLERTON?!
The kids father was so vicious, it was awesome, the only thing I didn't really like was that when the father seen the kids, he did not attack them, I mean, I guess it shows that he still kind of had human thought a bit, but that's not what the infected are suppose to have, are they?
its better than the 1st one!!!!vry brutal and kinda freak me out its like "RUN FOR UR LIFE' i had a bad dreams when i saw this movie..but this is definitely one of my favorite movie and absolutely "two thumbs up"
